Bigger not necessarily better … Denise Richards reveals botched breast surgery.
Actress Denise Richards wishes she had chosen her first cosmetic surgeon more carefully after he botched her breast enlargement operation.
The former Bond girl went under the knife when she was just a teen, but she was in such a rush to get a more voluptuous shape, she didn’t check out her surgeon’s credentials.
“When I was 19, a doctor put in bigger implants than what I’d asked for. I was in such a hurry to get them that I didn’t research my doctor.
“I just thought because they’re a plastic surgeon, they must be good,” Richards told US Weekly.
Richards sought a further procedure to correct the mistake but in the second operation she was given even bigger implants.
Richards admits she should have sued the medic – but the young actress decided against legal action because she was preparing to shoot risque 1998 movie Wild Things.
“I felt very vulnerable. I was getting ready to film Wild Thingsand I didn’t want to get into a lawsuit with some plastic surgeon. It wasn’t right what the doctor did, but it is what it is.”
An actress, reality TV star and the former wife of Charlie Sheen, Richards has recently released her memoir, The Real Girl Next Door.
